At the age of 24, New York-based designer Brian Reyes had already launched his eponymous line of ready-to-wear and achieved promising status by magazines like Allure, Women's Wear Daily, and Vogue. Reyes, who was born in Columbia, grew up in the suburbs of New Jersey and Florida before moving to New York at the age of 19. He began his career in fashion as an assistant designer at Ralph Lauren before moving on to become menswear collection designer at Michael Kors. In 2005, after working as the design director of licenses and women's collection studio assistant at Oscar de la Renta, Reyes branched out and began work on his own line. Since launching his line in 2006, Reyes' romantic fabrics, bold prints, and modern styles have glided across the red carpet and outfitted actresses like America Ferrara, Rachel Bilson, and Jennifer Garner.
