As an artist and a designer, Stefan Miljanic launched Gilded Age in 2005 so he could bring to life the vision and craft of industrial New England. But before there was Gilded Age, Miljanic honed his skills at Calvin Klein, Banana Republic, and Abercrombie & Fitch. Gilded Age is highly regarded for its environmentally conscious business practices, commitment to organic materials, and artisanal approach to fabric development. Although he uses old craft methods when it comes to spinning yarn and dyeing fabric, the casual styles found each season exude a sensible taste of modern luxury and fine detail. Inspired by the history that surrounded New England during the Industrial Revoluton, pieces from Miljanic's line are representative of styles from the past and have a unique cultural influence to them.
