Japanese designer Tsumori Chisato is credited for having brought manga and anime influence to contemporary fashion. After graduating from Tokyo's Buynka Fashion College, Chisato worked for Issey Miyake from 1977 up until 1990, when she founded her eponymous collection. She relocated to Paris in 2003 and brought her detailed eye for bright, busy, and whimsical style to Paris Fashion Week. Chisoto's designs are known for their quirky prints, electric colors, and unique embellishments. Since establishing her womenswear collection, the designer has added menswear, accessories, shoes, and lingerie to her label. For Holiday' 09, Chisoto collaborated with cosmetic brand Shu Eumura on a color palette for her collection and a limited-edition make up collection.
