Be & D creates luxury goods aimed at fashion sensibility rather than a marketable age group. Since the brand's launch in 2004, founders and designers Be Inthavong and Steve Dumain have focused on seamlessly blending old-world craftsmanship with modern, creative vision. Their first bag, the Garbo, was designed and constructed on a kitchen table in Dumain's New York loft. It became an instant hit and since then, there have been many more bags, belts, soft goods, and shoes produced in Be & D's New York atelier and in Italy. Their collection is always made with premium leathers, exotic skins, and custom hardware and finds inspiration in everything from vintage luggage to boudoir romance.
